A lovely sunny day for a game of football. Our under 10 girls played a determined Shifnal Lionesses in an all out attacking game, which was full of some well taken goals.
It was the perfect setting to remind the girls how lucky we are to be having fun; playing football with friends as we held a minute silence at the start to pay respect to Poppy. That respect carried on to the pitch, with both teams battling fairly and playing some great football.
Shifnal came away with a well deserved win come full time.
Well done to our girls and congratulations to Shifnal on the win.
Also a reminder to everyone involved in girls grassroots football to enjoy these moments. No matter what the result is, let them enjoy their time on that football pitch, with their friends.

What an amazing result today with the U16โ€™s now heading to the County Cup final! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Winning in the way we did, especially after coming from behind, made it even more memorable. The opposition is a strong team and has the potential to win the league, but today we proved that with grit, determination, and a refusal to give up, we can take on any opponent. They had the upper hand in the first half, leading 1-0 at halftime without us really testing their goalkeeper. We encouraged the lads to fight harder in the second half, and they certainly delivered. The pivotal moment came when Seb made a sliding challenge at the halfway line, leading to Claytonโ€™s goal, which sparked our momentum. After that goal, our players became more vocal, tackles became fiercer, and the team really rallied together. It was no surprise when we scored the winner and held strong to keep them at bay in the final moments. It was a fantastic team effort! Taine was relentless in winning headers and tackles in midfield, while Taylan brought energy both at right back and in more attacking roles. However, todayโ€™s man of the match goes to Josh.
